ATTA Volunteering
Like every volunteer organisation, we rely heavily on the support of our members, family and friends to assist with the running of each event. Without your support, events simply cannot happen, so with every event we put the call out for volunteers to fill a number of key roles. Even if you only volunteer once a year, this makes a significant difference as it gives our regular volunteers a break and shares the load more evenly.
In order to be eligible for awards, you must have volunteered at least once in a season. The good news is that it does not have to be you that volunteers. A family member or friend can volunteer on your behalf allowing you to race. Volunteers also receive a notional payment to compensate them for their time and travel costs.

Registration Desk
Signs racers in and allocates bib and transponder as per the official start list. Collects bib and transponder from each racer at the conclusion of their ride. The registration desk opens one hour prior to the first rider start and closes when the last rider returns their bib.
Starter
Sends each rider off at their nominated start time as per the official start list.
Time Keeper
Runs the official timing system on race day. Develops the official start list in the week leading up to the event, emailing the start list to participants three days prior to race day. Synchronises the official timing system with Race Roster at the conclusion of the event. Hands on training for this role will be provided.
Trailer Tow
Assists with setting up and packing up course traffic signage as per the course Traffic Management Plan (TMP). Must be able to confidently tow a trailer and have a vehicle capable of towing a trailer. This role requires a two-day traffic management course that is paid for by the club.
Starter Assist
Marshals riders in their allocated order five minutes prior to their allocated start time. Assists the starter in ensuring each rider gets away at their allocated start time. This role is course and rider numbers dependant and is not required for all courses.
Corner Marshal
Each course will have a number of corners and it is desirable to have a corner marshal on each corner, depending on the amount of traffic likely to be encountered and the requirements of the course TMP. Corner marshals are essential to ensuing rider, spectator and driver safety.

Process any race payments using the electronic square. Cash entries are no longer taken
